Cover Reveal: Seconds Before Sunrise

If you read my review of Shannon A. Thompson’s Minutes Before Sunset, then you know I can’t wait for the next book in the series, Seconds Before Sunrise. Although SBS won’t release until March 22, 2014, Thompson was kind enough to reveal the cover and give us the tagline, a teaser quote, and the synopsis:

Seconds Before Sunrise

Two nightmares. One memory.

“Chaos within destiny. It was the definition of our love.” *

Synopsis

Eric has weeks before his final battle when he’s in an accident. Forced to face his human side, he knows he can’t survive if he fights alone. But he doesn’t want to surrender, even if he becomes the sacrifice for war.

Jessica’s memory isn’t the only thing she’s lost. Her desire to find her parents is gone and so is her confidence. But when fate leaves nightmares behind, she decides to find the boy she sees in them, even if it risks her sanity.

* What are your theories on the meaning of that teaser quote? Personally, it’s driving me nuts! Does this mean the end for Eric and Jessica? They seemed so resolute in their love in MBS, as if it surpassed the fact that it was a construct of destiny. If the events in MBS couldn’t tear them apart, what will happen in SBS that will? I’m excited to find out what happens, though it’s possible that isn’t the context at all.

What do you think the quote means? Comment below!

SBS Scavenger Hunt

Fact #14 There are trees on both back covers. This is because the tree seen in the book is a main symbol. The author also loves trees.
